I had a lovely stay at Fair Rigg. The room was beautifully presented, spacious, and exceptionally clean. I appreciated the iPhone charger in the room. such a nice touch. The bathroom featured an excellent walk-in shower that offered a refreshing experience. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. Homemade jams, fresh fruit, and a full English breakfast filled with local produce made for a spectacular start to the day. Christine and Richard proved to be charming hosts. Their local recommendations really enhanced my visit. A minor issue was limited parking. it filled quickly. A few decorative updates could also elevate the ambiance further. But the welcoming atmosphere made up for those small concerns. I will be back for sure!

The views from the second-floor room were nothing short of fine, offering a picturesque panorama of the lake. Breakfast included a surprisingly hearty full English, far beyond the basic offerings typically found at other places, demonstrating a clear emphasis on quality and variety.
The pathway back from town presented some challenges, with certain stretches lacking lighting and sidewalks. While the room layout was generally spacious, the shower pressure left something to be desired, not quite as robust as one might hope. Parking options were somewhat limited. Finding a spot could require a bit of patience, especially on busy weekends. If you're someone who enjoys a fully stocked bath with luxurious products, you might feel the selection here left some room for improvement.

Had a great time with friends! The place is clean and cozy, perfect for a weekend getaway. We loved visiting Blackwell and enjoyed some time at Windermere Golf Club, just a short drive away. Breakfast was exceptional, and the hosts were super friendly. Great overall value!
